Pip and the Dark
For: Scared of the dark
Pip is the smallest Light in Lantern Hollow, and the most afraid of the dark. When the Great Lantern goes out and a small voice cries from the far edge of the Hollow, Pip has to decide whether one whispered word is enough to carry him into the night. A gentle bedtime story for the child who’s scared at lights-out — and an honest one: Pip never stops being afraid. He just learns to go anyway.
For the child who’s afraid at lights-out — the rattling window, the too-big dark, the long minute after you close the door.
Every Little Light gives your child one small word to keep. This one is
whispered into the dark
You don’t have to teach it. The story hands it over, and children carry it out on their own — into the dark, the meltdown, the moment they need it.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
One verse per book — never a billboard. A Christian family finds it and feels fed; every other family reads a beautiful story and never feels preached at.
He still fears the dark. He just learned to walk into it anyway.
