Meet the Little Lights

Seven glows, seven feelings, one word each to keep

Every Light has a feeling they know well, and something they do when it comes: a whisper, a breath, a shout, open hands, a raised hand, a hum. Your child learns it by doing it with them.

The Littlest

Small, loved, and always toddling after Pip. Tiny, glowing, no words yet.

When you feel very little…

Tonight: Some nights the littlest one just needs to be close. That’s enough.

How the books work

The feeling shows in the light. The word turns the page. Your child keeps the word.

  1. The feeling shows in the light

When a Light is scared or mad or hiding, you can see it: the glow hides behind hands, flares white-hot, or goes under little clouds. Children read it before they can read words.

  2. The word turns the page

Each Light has one small thing to say or do. The story turns when they use it, and the narrator never lectures.

  3. Your child keeps the word

It’s short enough to remember at the dentist, at drop-off, at 2 a.m. That’s the point.

The light is never earned and never lost. It can only be hidden, or shared.

A letter to parents

Every Little Light has a light inside. It’s a gift. Nobody earns it by being good, and nobody loses it by being scared, or mad, or sad. A light can be hidden, under a hand or a leaf or a little grey cloud, and it can be shared. That’s all.

Each book has one verse, tucked in the back. The faith is in the bones of the story, not in a sermon at the end. If you took the verse away, we want it to still be the best book on your child’s shelf for that feeling. If you keep it, we hope it feeds you both.
